Changes to SMART in 2013
Participants and providers in SMART, the scholarship management program for youth bowlers, will notice some changes to the program's online portal in 2013. The changes are designed to strengthen the program and enhance functionality.

Youth Open to have age-based divisions
The United States Bowling Congress Youth Open Championships will move to aged-based divisions in 2013 and the event also will see the addition of a regional tournament.

USBC Collegiate Ticker – Nov. 28
The Robert Morris-Illinois men’s team won its seventh tournament title of the season and Wichita State took the women's title at the National Collegiate Team Match Games, a Tier I event.

Gazmine Mason of Cranston, R.I., was featured in a Hometown Sports Heroes segment on the Fox affiliate in Providence, R.I.

Youth applications are due Dec. 1
Each year, USBC awards several scholarships to USBC Youth bowlers and also recognizes individuals who are making a difference with USBC Youth bowlers through coaching or through youth programs. The deadline to submit nominations for these scholarships and national awards is December 1.

Two schools awarded YES Fund grants
Taylorville High School in Taylorville, Ill., and Barren County High School in Glasgow, Ky., each will receive a $2,500 grant through the High School Grant Program of the Youth Education Services (YES) Fund.
