Dennis Hacker of Longtown, Missouri, begins his seventh year of service on the USBC Board with the 2024-2025 season, and he will serve as president after spending two years as vice president. He has been the Association Manager of the Missouri State USBC since 2019, after serving as a director since 2007. He is also a director on the Cape Girardeau USBC board. He is a member of the Missouri State and the Cape Girardeau USBC Halls of Fame. Hacker is a USBC Silver coach and led his Jackson High School bowling team to a state championship in 2022. On the lanes, he won the Bowlers Journal singles title in 1986, the New York State Amateur in 2000 and was first alternate for Team USA in 1988. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1981-1993, where he worked as a nuclear electrician on submarines. Bowling for the Navy, he was the All-Navy champion three times over his 12-year career. He attended Southeast Missouri State University and worked as Director of Research for Pinnacle Research Group, an independent full-service market research firm, for 22 years, retiring in 2022.

Mike Cannington of Fort Myers, Florida, takes over as vice president of the USBC Board of Directors to start the 2024-2025 season. He is the sales and marketing director for Bowling Management Associates, operators of seven bowling centers in southwest Florida. He spent three terms as a member of the International Bowling Campus Youth Committee, starting in 2014. A lifelong bowler, Cannington was captain of the University of South Florida bowling team (1978-1980) while pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications (1980). He has taken on leadership roles with both business and civic organizations throughout his four decades in business. He served as President of the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce in 2004-2005 and currently is on the board of directors, and also has been a board member for the local YMCA, March of Dimes, Muscular Dystrophy and the Alliance for the Arts. Cannington served eight years as a member of the Southwest Florida USBC association and currently is working on the member events committee for the Bowling Centers Association of Florida (BCAF). Prior to joining Bowling Management in 2009, his career was quite varied – sports broadcaster, anchor, reporter for 12 years, marketing director for a national restaurant chain franchise group for 15 years and two years as marketing director for a Harley-Davidson dealership group.

Glenda Beckett of Palmetto Bay, Florida, has been on the USBC Board since the 2020-2021 season. She currently serves on the Awards and Recognition, Nominating and Legal and Legislative Committees. Beckett is the Greater Miami USBC Association Manager since 2012 and has served the association in various roles, including first vice president and tournament manager, since 2001. She has been a Florida State USBC board member since 2018, serving as the Legal and Legislative Committee chair and a member of the Charity, Budget/Audit, Nominating and Policies and Procedures committees. The Florida State USBC WBA honored her with the 2017 Pilar Cohalla Award for outstanding service, and she was inducted into the Greater Miami USBC Hall of Fame for meritorious service in 2014. She received the Greater Miami WBA Outstanding Service Award in 2006 and was awarded Most Powerful Female Marketing Executive by the Dan Marino Charity Golf Tournament in 1999. Beckett retired from AT&T/Lucent Technologies in 2001, having worked as executive assistant to the president for the Caribbean and Latin America region.

Brandon Bowman of Mukilteo, Washington, is serving his first term on the USBC Board of Directors, which started during the 2023-2024 season. He is a director on the Washington State and Snohomish County USBC Boards, serving as chair of the Youth and Communications committees while also supporting the Scholarship and Finance committees for both associations. Bowman is a local youth coach and competitor, having four Washington State USBC titles, including victories in the 2023 Singles and All-Events, and has been a member of the PBA Regional Tour - Northwest Region since 2021. Professionally, Bowman is a Sustainable Business Consultant, with over 20 years of experience in business operations, data analytics and financial management. He holds an MBA from Seattle University, a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University and a graduate certificate in Sustainable Business from Pinchot University/Presidio Graduate School.

SYDNEY BRUMMETT

Sydney Brummett of Lake Wales, Florida, joined the board for the first time during the 2022-2023 season. She was part of Team USA from 2017-2021 and represented Junior Team USA from 2015-2017, earning more than 15 medals in international competition. She was a collegiate standout at Wichita State University before joining the PWBA Tour in 2018. She was named an NCBCA All-American in each of her four years at Wichita State, including honors as the NCBCA Most Valuable Player during the 2016-2017 season. She also is the 2017 Intercollegiate Singles Championships winner.

Anthony Colangelo of Meridian, Idaho, who served his first term on the board from 2013-2016, returned for a second term starting in the 2019-2020 season and began his final term during the 2022-2023 season. He has been involved in the bowling industry for more than 35 years and recently was association manager for the Idaho State USBC. He also served as chair of the Transition Committee for the Idaho State USBC, which completed its merger in 2017. He was a board member of the Bowlers to Veterans Link (2014-2016), a director on the New Jersey State USBC BA (2010-2014) and association manager for the Central Jersey Middlesex County USBC (2009-2015). Colangelo is the IT Manager for Boise Centre, Idaho’s largest convention center, supervising a team that provides technical services for more than 350 events each year.

Stephanie Dyson of Clinton, Maryland, will serve her first term on the USBC Board of Directors starting with the 2024-2025 season. She is a prior board member and secretary of The National Bowling Association’s (TNBA) Greater Washington Bowling Senate (GWBS). At the national level for TNBA, Dyson has served as a board member of the Junior Program and Scholarship Program, Incorporated and has served as a TNBA Convention delegate. Additionally, she has served as league president for NCAUSBC leagues, volunteered for youth leagues and is active in USBC’s programming. Her tenure with TNBA National and GWBS is marked by a commitment to fostering inclusivity and innovation with the bowling community and contributing to the development of policies and programs that support its bowlers. In her professional life, Dyson is a dynamic healthcare and life sciences executive leader with more than 25 years of experience in highly regulated global organizations in both the public and private sectors. She currently serves as the Senior Vice President, U.S. Policy and Government Affairs and U.S. Policy Communications at Bristol Myers Squibb and is a current board member/independent director for both Martha’s Table and Life Sciences of Pennsylvania.

Christopher Floyd of Lockport, Louisiana, joins the USBC Board of Directors for the first time in the 2023-2024 season and is part of the IBC Youth Committee. Floyd is the 2018 David Dahms Coach of the Year, and he has been an active duty member of the U.S. Coast Guard for nearly 30 years, currently as the Commanding Officer of the Project Residence Office Lockport. He is a USBC Silver coach and has coached youth bowlers in centers in Maryland, Virginia and Louisiana for the last 15 years. He also has coached on the high school level and has served on several local and state associations in various roles, including vice president and president since 2014. He has served as the chair of the Louisiana State USBC Youth Committee. He holds a Master of Science in Sports Management.

Bo Goergen of Sanford, Michigan, has worked in the bowling industry for the last 35 years and has been the center manager of Northern Lanes, a 24-lane center in Sanford, since 1997. He also is the executive director for the Bowling Centers Association of Michigan and has operated centers in Iowa, Georgia, Illinois and Michigan. He helped develop and continues to support programs at four local high schools and one college bowling team. On the lanes, he has competed in 43 USBC Open Championships and set the tournament record with an 862 singles series in 2009. He claimed a second Open Championships title in 2010, leading Northern Lanes Pro Shop to the Team All-Events crown. He also has competed on the PBA Senior Tour, with a career-best finish of second at the 2012 PBA Senior Don Carter Memorial. He was inducted into the USBC Hall of Fame for Outstanding USBC Performance in 2022.

David Haynes of Las Vegas joined the USBC Board of Directors at the beginning of the 2024-2025 season. Haynes has been part of Team USA for 10 years, with stints on the team from 1999-2000 and 2002-2009. He helped the program claim eight medals in PANAM Elite Championships competition through appearances in 2005 (gold in team, bronze in doubles), 2007 (gold in team) and 2009 (gold in team, silver in doubles and trios, bronze in singles and all-events). At the 2006 IBF World Championships in Busan, South Korea, Haynes was part of the group that helped the United States bring home its first gold medal in the men's five-player team event since 1971. He also claimed a silver medal in team at the 2003 IBF World Championships.

Chrissie Kent of Newark, New York, is serving her first term on the board after joining the International Bowling Campus Youth Committee during the 2016-2017 season. She took over as the chair for the IBC Youth Committee in July 2020 and has served as a director on the BPAA and Lake Ontario USBC Boards. She and husband, USBC and PBA Hall of Famer Doug Kent, have owned Doug Kent’s Rose Bowl Lanes since 1999, where she helps manage the day-to-day operations and has built the youth program as its director. On the lanes, she helped Wichita State win the 1994 Intercollegiate Team Championships and won a Classic Team title at the 2008 USBC Women’s Championships.

Kevin Krauss of Seminole, Florida, has actively been engaged with the Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America for more than 10 years, serving as secretary before taking on his current role as vice president. He’s also served as the BPAA Nominating Chairman from 2012-2017 and Southeast Regional Director to the board for six years. At the state level, Krauss has held the position of president of the Bowling Centers Association of Florida (BCAF) and been part of the BCAF Board of Directors for nearly 30 years. Krauss is the owner and operator of Seminole Lanes, a family-owned company that was started by his parents, Jerry and Joan, more than 60 years ago.

Chrissy Lee of Tampa, Florida, began her first term on the board during the 2021-2022 season. She has served on both her state and local boards for nearly 20 years, serving as vice president and president of the Monmouth County USBC. Prior to the merge, she served on both the Monmouth County USBC BA and WBA boards. She also served on both the New Jersey State USBC WBA and the New Jersey State USBC Boards of Directors. She has served as chairperson on many committees within the various associations. She recently was elected to serve as a director for the Greater Tampa USBC. She has served as a delegate to the USBC Annual Convention 12 times and has been a delegate to state conventions on 22 occasions. She was inducted into the Monmouth County USBC Hall of Fame in 2020. She’s worked as a preschool teacher for over 25 years.

Melissa McDaniel of Raleigh, North Carolina, is serving her third term on the board and was president from the beginning of the 2020-2021 season through the 2023-2024 season. She is the youth director and head coach for Buffaloe Lanes Family Bowling Centers, which consists of five centers in North Carolina and has the largest youth program in the country. McDaniel, a USBC Silver coach, was chair of the International Bowling Campus Youth Committee for five years and served on the committee for seven years. She is vice president of the Bowling Proprietors of the Carolinas and Georgia (BPACGA).

Nick Pate of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, was elected as an athlete representative, replacing an athlete director who resigned. He is a six-time member of Team USA (2017, 2019-2023). As a team member in 2019, he earned one of two men’s spots, along with Jakob Butturff, on Team USA for the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, and won the gold medal in both singles and doubles at the event. He also was a member of the team that captured gold at the Pan Am Bowling Men’s Championships in 2019, and he added two more gold medals (doubles, team) and two silver medals (trios, all-events) at the 2021 PANAM Bowling Elite Championships. He attended Midland University, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and won the 2017 Intercollegiate Singles Championships title and was the 2016-2017 National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association (NCBCA) Most Valuable Player. He also helped Midland to a runner-up finish at the 2015 Intercollegiate Team Championships, earning NCBCA first-team All-American honors that season. In 2023, he helped K & J Finishing 1 capture the Team All-Events title at the USBC Open Championships to claim his first Eagle.

Shannon Pluhowsky of Dayton, Ohio, will make her first appearance on the USBC Board of Directors starting with the 2024-2025 season. Pluhowsky has been part of the Team USA program each year since 2000, and she's represented the adult team each year since 2001 (2001-2024). She spent four years on Junior Team USA (2000-2003). She has found success at every level, starting with three consecutive wins at the Junior Gold Championships (1999-2001). Pluhowsky was a collegiate standout at Nebraska, has claimed three U.S. Amateur and four Team USA Trial wins and has collected dozens of medals in international competition. She has won four PWBA Tour titles, including a pair of majors (2006 USBC Queens and 2021 PWBA Tour Championship).

Kristopher Prather of Romeoville, Illinois, is a first-time member of the USBC Board of Directors for the 2023-2024 season. He is a six-time champion on the PBA Tour, which includes major victories at the 2020 PBA Tournament of Championships and 2022 PBA World Championship. He is a three-time PBA League Elias Cup champion with the Portland Lumberjacks (2019, 2020 and 2022). Prather is a five-time Team USA member (2020-2024) and won a gold medal in trios at the 2021 IBF Super World Championships and gold in team at the 2022 IBF World Cup. He is a member of the 2016 Regular Team champion at the USBC Open Championships and finished as the runner-up in Regular Singles in 2011 and Regular All-Events in 2019.

Matthew Russo of Ballwin, Missouri, joined the USBC Board of Directors for his first term starting with the 2024-2025 season. Russo is a current member of Team USA and has been on the adult team for seven years (2017-2018, 2020-2024). He's also a two-time member of Junior Team USA (2016-2017). He has claimed 10 medals in international competition for Team USA, including nine golds. Russo is the 2017 U.S. Amateur champion and 2020 Team USA Trials winner. He bowled collegiately at Webber International and helped the Warriors claim victory at the 2019 ITC. The 2021 PBA Rookie of the Year is a two-time titlist on the PBA Tour.

Nancy Schenk of Fayetteville, North Carolina, served as the president of the Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America from 2016-2018 after serving a year as vice president, two years as a treasurer and two years as secretary. She was a member of the USBC Board of Directors during that time as well. She is the general manager and vice president of B&B Bowling Lanes and has been around the bowling business her entire life, following in the footsteps of her well-known father, Howard Baum, a 2008 BPAA Hall of Famer. She has served as an at-large director and on a number of committees including Tournaments, Youth, Regional Task Force, Bowling Organization for Women in Leadership, Young Guns, Member Benefits, Membership Oversight, Skills Center Advisory Board, and the Strategic Task Force. Schenk served as president of The Bowling Foundation and secretary of Strike Ten Entertainment. She also served on the Budget and Finance, Executive and International Bowl Expo committees. She has many accomplishments as a bowler, including a 300 game. She was a three-year letter winner for her high school bowling team, all-conference selection for three years, most valuable player for two years and was on the North Carolina State bowling team from 1995-1997. Schenk was inducted into the BPAA Hall of Fame in 2022 when she was also honored with the Victor Lerner Memorial Medal. She holds a Chemical Engineering degree from North Carolina State and has worked as a management consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP and IBM before starting a family with her husband, Gary.

Mark Van Meter of Albuquerque, New Mexico, is a first-time member of the USBC Board of Directors for the 2023-2024 season. He has served in multiple capacities on both his state and local boards for nearly 40 years, serving as board director for both the New Mexico State Bowling Association and Central New Mexico Bowling Association. In 2004-2005, he was part of the transition committee that assisted both entities during the merge. Prior to that time, he served on the board of directors for both the United States Olympic Committee and USA Bowling and was board director of the Young American Bowling Alliance for the New Mexico State Bowling Association. Also, he is an accomplished bowler in his own right, having medaled more than 10 times while competing as a member of Team USA, securing a top-five finish at the 1978 Masters and notching the ABC’s high men’s high three-game series (859) and four-game series (1,138) marks during the 1977-1978 season.

Matthew Voltz of Fargo, North Dakota, will serve his first term on the board starting with the 2024-2025 season. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Studies, Business Management from Granite State College and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Plymouth State University. He has extensive professional experience in finance and leadership positions and is currently the Finance Director for the city of Horace, North Dakota. Prior to that, he spent more than four years at Town and Country Credit Union in Fargo, North Dakota, where he worked his way up the ranks from Assistant Vice President - Contact Center to Assistant Vice President - Member Services to Vice President - Member Services. Voltz has volunteered his time helping coach local youth bowling leagues and has served as a director for the Fargo/Moorhead USBC from 2022 to present and as its association manager from 2023 to present.
