Metastatic Breast Cancer Day
Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) Day is observed annually on Oct. 13 to raise awareness about MBC, also known as stage 4 breast cancer.
Those affected by this disease urgently need increased research, state and federal policy change, additional resources and the support of all of us.
On this day, we are inviting our community to join with Susan G. Komen in raising our voices and standing in solidarity with those facing the challenges of aggressive advanced stage cancer.
Pink Highlight – Courtney Hirsch
We would like to thank Courtney Hirsch for her continued support of Bowl for the Cure. Year after year, Ms. Hirsch[AS1] and the Saturday Morning Juniors League raise funds for breast cancer awareness by hosting a silent auction, asking bowlers to wear pink and encouraging patrons to donate "spare" change.
Thank you for bringing awareness to breast cancer and for calling a community together to fight this deadly disease.
If you are in the Menomonee, Wisconsin, area this October, come to Spare Change to Strike Out Cancer at Village Bowl on Oct. 19 to celebrate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Ms. Hirsch and fellow bowlers!
If you have stories, memories or words of encouragement you want to share with the community, we want to hear from you. If we choose your story for the newsletter, you will receive a Bowl for the Cure bowling pin! Please email bftc@bowl.com with the subject line “BFTC Highlight” or you can mail a letter to:
