Holman won all but one of his 22 Professional Bowlers Association titles between 1975 and 1988. Among his victories were the Firestone Tournament of Champions in 1976 and 1986, and the Bowling Proprietors' Association of America U.S. Open in 1981 and 1985. Holman, who resides in Medford, Oregon, earned more than $1.7 million during his 23 years as a PBA touring player. He won the George Young High Average Award in 1982, 1984 and 1987, the latter year also being named the PBA Player of the Year. He was inducted into the PBA Hall of Fame in 1990 and also is a member of the International Jewish Sport, Oregon Sports and Medford Halls of Fame. He has bowled in 15 USBC Open Championships and Masters, averaging more than 200. His best finish in USBC competition was fourth in the 1986 Masters.
