WSC: All four Team USA players earn byes

All four Team USA players earned first-round byes as qualifying concluded Sunday at the World Tenpin Bowling Association World Singles Championships in Limassol, Cyprus.
Team USA's Kelly Kulick earned the top seed after 12 games of qualifying with a total of 2,852 (237.7 average), while Shannon O'Keefe finished qualifying in fourth place with 2,657. Both players completed their final block of qualifying Sunday.
On the men's side, both Team USA players found out if they earned a bye by being in the top eight on Sunday as Tommy Jones qualified second with 2,758, while Chris Barnes was fifth with 2,720.
In Sunday's final round of qualifying, Kulick was dominant on the women's side, firing a six-game total of 1,479 to earn the top seed. O'Keefe finished the final six-game block with 1,294.
Action now shifts to the match-play bracket with the top eight players after qualifying receiving byes. The top 24 men and top 24 women advanced to the bracket, which will feature best-of-five matches.
