RENO, Nev. - For the first time in United States Bowling Congress Women's Championships history, webcams are mounted inside the tournament venue, so family and friends can take in the daily excitement at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.

The two streaming video cameras are located behind the 44 specially-constructed lanes inside the RSCC. The first camera features lanes 1-28, while the second showcases lanes 29-44. The cameras will sweep the venue throughout the day, providing non-stop coverage of the 81-day event.

While the cameras do not show the scoreboards over the championship lanes, live scoring is available this year through xbowling. The new technology allows fans to track games frame-by-frame, along with other interesting statistics - all of which are available through the free xbowling app or online at www.xbowling.com.

Point-and-click webcams were introduced at the USBC Open Championships in 2004 and quickly became one of the most popular features of the tournament page on BOWL.com. The first streaming cameras were used at the 2012 Open Championships in Baton Rouge, La., and have been a well-received addition to the Women's Championships landscape in 2013.

The 2013 Women's Championships kicked off at the RSCC on April 12 and will run daily until July 1. The 2013 Open Championships is being held across town at the one-of-a-kind National Bowling Stadium, marking the first time both events have been held in the same host city in the same year. Both tournaments will return to Reno in 2014.
