USBC Youth watch Finland's Palermaa earn first PBA Tour title

Two-handed bowlers have made a big impact in the sport of bowling in the last few years and the stepladder finals of the Lumber Liquidators Professional Bowlers Association Tour GEICO Shark Championship featured two players who use a two-handed delivery.

USBC Youth bowlers who were part of the PBA/USBC Insiders' Tour had the opportunity to see two of the best two-handed bowlers in the world - Australia's Jason Belmonte and Finland's Osku Palermaa - during the finals PBA Tour Shark Championship.

Palermaa, as the second seed, captured his first PBA Tour title with a victory over top-seed Dan MacLelland of Canada in the fifth and final "animal pattern" event of the World Series of Bowling.

Southern Nevada USBC Youth members Emi Leong, Dallas Leong, Zach Hochman and Jack Parcell watched the PBA Tour event at South Point Bowling Center in Las Vegas as part of the PBA/USBC Insiders' Tour program. The program gives selected USBC Youth members the opportunity to meet their favorite players on the PBA Tour, attend matches and get a behind-the-scenes look at a PBA event.

After watching Palermaa's victory, the USBC Youth bowlers had their picture taken with the Shark champion.

The Insiders' Tour is a joint program of the PBA and USBC.
