USBC Youth get a closer look at PBA World Championship

ARLINGTON, Texas - USBC Youth members in the Las Vegas area had the opportunity to attend the Professional Bowlers Association World Series of Bowling.

Through the PBA/USBC Insiders’ Tour, USBC Youth members were on hand to watch Finland’s Osku Palermaa capture the PBA World Championship for his second PBA Tour victory and first major. The finals aired Sunday on ESPN.

PBA World USBC YouthUSBC Youth members from the Southern Nevada USBC association had the opportunity to go behind the scenes and then were able to watch their favorite bowlers from VIP seats. After Palermaa’s victory, the USBC Youth bowlers went onto the approach to have their picture taken with the winner.

The USBC Youth members, sporting their USBC Youth jerseys, are (from left): Tayler Gonzales, Danyella Gonzalez, Jhared Gonzalez, Zachery Dobbs and Matthew Dobbs.

This is the third season of the PBA/USBC Insiders’ Tour. Through the program, the PBA Tour has provided USBC Youth members special access at PBA events so they can meet the tour’s stars and get a behind-the-scenes look at what happens during a PBA Tour stop. The attendees also receive special seats for the championship matches. Program participants were randomly selected from area USBC Youth bowlers.
