Team USA Trials returns to Gold Coast in Las Vegas for 2026 and 2027

ARLINGTON, Texas – The United States Bowling Congress Team USA Trials and United States National Amateur Bowling Championships will return to Las Vegas in 2026 and 2027 and be contested at the Gold Coast Bowling Center.

The 2026 event will be held at the 70-lane venue – located inside of the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino – from Jan. 2-7. Registration is scheduled to open Sept. 9, 2025, at 11 a.m. Eastern.

The 2027 event also is slated for Jan. 2-7. Information regarding registration for 2027 will be available at a later date.

The field size for each year will allow for 175 entries in both the men’s and women’s divisions.

The USBC Team USA Trials and U.S. Amateur bring together both youth and adult athletes from across the United States to compete for the chance to represent their country on the lanes for the calendar year.

Team USA Trials features five separate qualifying days on five different oil patterns, with competitors earning points based on their finish against the field each day. The top score for the block earns one point, the runner-up for the squad earns two points, etc.

Each athlete will add their points up for a final score at the end of the week, and the lowest overall scores have the chance to earn automatic spots on Team USA and Junior Team USA for the year.

Those overall scores also will determine the stepladder finalists for the U.S. Amateur. To be eligible for the U.S. Amateur, an athlete must not meet the criteria to be considered a professional bowler.

In addition to automatic spots for Team USA and Junior Team USA, the National Selection Committee also will be on hand to choose additional members for each team based on performances at Gold Coast and submitted resumes (Team USA only).
