USBC selected as finalist for national youth award

Online voting is underway to help determine winning organization

 

ARLINGTON, Texas – The United States Bowling Congress has been selected as one of five finalists for the National Council of Youth Sports S.T.R.I.V.E. Organization of the Year Award presented by AIG.

The award recognizes organizations that embrace a “kids first’ approach based on implementation of recognized best practices and policies that protect children by promoting responsible health, wellness and safety within their organization while showcasing the positive benefits of youth sports.

The Five for S.T.R.I.V.E. finalists are:

  • Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association – Lake Forest, Illinois
  • Greater Lafayette Regional Soccer Alliance – Lafayette, Indiana
  • Pop Warner Little Scholars – Langhorne, Pennsylvania
  • United States Bowling Congress – Arlington, Texas
  • York Jewish Community Center – York, Pennsylvania

Online voting results combined with the judges' scores will determine The S.T.R.I.V.E (Sports Teach Respect, Initiative, Values and Excellence!) Organization winner.

Online voting is underway and will end at 11:59 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday, June 9. Only one vote per day per email address will be valid and each vote must contain a unique, verifiable, and active email address.

The STRIVE Award for Organization of the Year will be presented on NCYS Youth Sports Day set for Tuesday, July 14, on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. during National Youth Sports Week. The winning organization will receive a $5,000 donation.
