The Robert Morris-Illinois men picked up another big win, while Lindenwood cruised to the women's title at the Boilermaker Classic at Mike Aulby's Arrowhead Bowl in Lafayette, Ind.
The RMU men rolled to the easy win, finishing with 8,774 to win by 300 pins. McKendree finished second with 8,474, while Lindenwood was third at 8,352.
The top of the men's individual standings were dominated by Robert Morris-Illinois as Matt Gasn took the top spot with 1,217 for five games. Ryan Zagar was second with 1,178, while Mason Petrin was third with 1,170.
On the women's side Lindenwood rolled to a 200-plus pin win after finishing with 7,991. Robert Morris-Illinois took second with 7,767, while Newman was third with 7,563.
Tawni Vollmer of RMU earned top individual honors with 1,070. Lindenwood's Amanda Greene was second with 1,049, while Leea Haworth of Robert Morris was third with 1,027.
In other USBC Collegiate action over the weekend:
- At the Hampton Roads Collegiate Bowling Invitational, Norfolk State took an easy win 4-0 over Virginia State in the title match.
- Fairleigh Dickinson finished with the highest pinfall and a 7-2 record at the Bethune-Cookman Wildcat Invitational.
- Led by Natalie Jimenez, Central Missouri dominated the total pinfall standings at the McKendree Duals.
