The Wichita State men and women swept the Midstates Championship at Northrock Lanes in Wichita, Kan., over the weekend.
The Shockers' men finished with a total of 13,613 to top Lindenwood's second-place tally of 13,442. Midland finished third with 13,350.
Lindenwood's Danny Spink claimed top individual honors for the men with a 10-game total of 2,201 (220.1 average), while Midland's Joe Steiner finished second with 2,122. Dylan Burns of Kansas finished third with 2,079.
On the women's side, Wichita State finished with 12,626 to take the victory. Central Missouri finished second with 12,240, while Midland was third with 12,068.
Midland's Sabrena Davis had the high individual total for the women with a 10-game score of 2,023 (202.3 average). Wichita State's Jazreel Tan finished second with 1,935, while Stephanie Bergman of Lindenwood was third with 1,898.
In other USBC Collegiate action over the weekend:
- At the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference's first meet of the season, the Northwestern Ohio rolled to a nearly 250-pin win, while the Davenport women beat the field by more than 600 pins to claim the title.
- Webber International defeated Florida State to win both the men's and women's titles at the Central Florida Classic.
- The Robert Morris-Illinois men and women swept the titles at The Western Shootout.
- At the Pennsylvania Classic, the Rochester Tech men and Kutztown women rolled to easy victories.
