USA boys roll to trios gold at PABCON Youth

Junior Team USA's Wesley Low of Palmdale, California, Kamron Doyle of Brentwood, Tennessee, and Michael Tang of San Francisco put on a dominating performance Tuesday en route to the boys trios title at the 2015 Pan American Bowling Confederation Youth Championships in Panama.
The trio combined for a six-game total of 4,309, a 239.39 average, to win the event by a staggering 472 pins at Bolera Sede in Panama City.
Low put together a huge set to lead the U.S. squad, finishing with 1,530 (255 average) on games of 259, 235, 246, 266, 258 and 266. Doyle added 1,396, while Tang fired 1,383.
The silver medal went to Venezuela's Andres Rodriguez, Massimiliano Fridegotto and Lucas Mota with 3,837. Brazil's Bruno Soarez, Bernanrdo Abreu and Joao Ferreira shot 3,767 to take the bronze medal.
Mexico's Paola Limon, Raquel Orozco and Sara Pelayo took the girls trios gold medal with 3,843.
Junior Team USA's Gazmine Mason of Cranston, Rhode Island, Sydney Brummett of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Breanna Clemmer of Clover, South Carolina, took the silver medal with 3,714. Mason led the trio with 1,419, Brummett had 1,159 and Clemmer shot 1,136.
Puerto Rico's Kristie Lopez, Nicole Rivera and Giselle Poss earned the bronze medal with 3,713.
The PABCON Youth Championships, which features teams from the American Zone, awards medals in six events - singles, doubles, trios, team, all-events and match-play Masters.
The event continues today with the first three games of the team event.
