The United States leads in four of the five divisions in team event after the first six games at the 50th Lee Evans Tournament of the Americas in Tamarac, Fla.

In the Adult division, Jarret Mizo (pictured) led the way as Team USA took the lead at the halfway point of the team event with 4,731. Mizo shot 1,260 and was joined by Danielle McEwan (1,214), AJ Johnson (1,210) and Addileen Pointer (1,047).

Venezuela sits in second place with 4,675, while Colombia is third with 4,614. The final six games of team, the final event of the tournament, will take place Saturday when all-events medals will also be awarded.

The United States also leads in the Junior B (ages 12-15), Senior and Super Senior divisions after six games.

In the Junior B division, Kamron Doyle fired 1,288 to lead the American squad to a 4,653 total and a lead of more than 200 pins.

Brian Brazaeu led the Senior team with 1,177 as they totaled 4,422 and lead Mexico by 87 pins. In the Super Senior division, Ed Roberts fired a blistering 1,335 to lead the United States to a 4,747 total and a lead of more than 600 pins.

The only division the United States doesn't lead in is the Junior A division (ages 16-19). Junior Team USA sits in third place but is just 167 pins behind the leaders.

The Lee Evans Tournament of the Americas is the oldest annual international tournament in the American Zone. The invitational competition for countries of PABCON (Pan American Bowling Confederation - the American Zone of World Tenpin Bowling Association) has five divisions for men and women.
