Team USA members selected for events in Reno and Peru

ARLINGTON, Texas – The National Selection Committee has chosen 23 individuals who will represent Team USA at two upcoming events in Reno, Nevada, and Lima, Peru.

The 2024 PANAM Bowling Adult and Senior Men’s and Women’s Championships will be held at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno from Aug. 18-25.

On the adult men’s side, the following six Team USA members were selected to go to Reno: Patrick Hanrahan of Wichita, Kansas; A.J. Johnson of Kenosha, Wisconsin; Jake Peters of Henderson, Nevada; Spencer Robarge of Springfield, Missouri; Julian Salinas of Richmond, Texas; and Darren Tang of Las Vegas.

The adult women’s team competing at the National Bowling Stadium will be Breanna Clemmer of Clover, South Carolina; Crystal Elliott of Palm Bay, Florida; Hope Gramly of Aubrey, Texas; Jillian Martin of Stow, Ohio; Shannon Pluhowsky of Dayton, Ohio; and Lauren Russo of Ballwin, Missouri.

On the men’s squad for Senior Team USA, Tom Adcock of Forsyth, Illinois; Steve Badovinac of Littleton, Colorado; John Janawicz of Winter Haven, Florida; and Dan Knowlton of Dade City, Florida, will compete. Dana Ausec of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Liz Johnson of Niagara Falls, New York; Kathy Ledford of Boise, Idaho; and Jodi Woessner of Oregon, Ohio, will comprise the women’s senior team. All were selected after submitting resumes.

The group will be led by Team USA coaches Bryan O’Keefe, Bob Learn, Jr. and Andy Diercks.

Players and coaches will arrive in Reno on Sunday, Aug. 18, with official practice and opening ceremonies the following day. Competition officially begins Aug. 20 with six games of singles and six games of doubles on Aug. 21. The competition then shifts to trios and mixed doubles for six games on Aug. 22 before two three-game rounds of team on Aug. 23-24. Closing ceremonies will take place the evening of Aug. 24 before teams depart on Aug. 25.

More international competition will happen from Oct. 5-10 at the PANAM Champion of Champions in Lima, Peru, which will see four Team USA bowlers travel to compete.

Elliott will also don the red, white and blue for the Champion of Champions event and join Bryanna Coté of Tucson, Arizona; Matt Russo of Ballwin, Missouri; and Chris Via of Blacklick, Ohio, in Lima.

Athletes will arrive Oct. 5-6 for practice and opening ceremonies. Competition starts on Oct. 7 with eight games of doubles before shifting to eight games of singles each day on Oct. 8-9, concluding the night of Oct. 9 with closing ceremonies. The group competing in Peru will be coached by O’Keefe.
