ARLINGTON, Texas - The United States Bowling Congress Women's Championships will return to Las Vegas' South Point Bowling Plaza in 2020, and will feature later start times and enhancements to the doubles/singles squads.
Registration for the 2020 Women's Championships will open April 22 at noon Eastern. Teams can visit BOWL.com/WomensChamp for information and to register.
The 2020 event will run at South Point from April 18-July 5 (last team date).
The squad times for the 2020 Women's Championships will be adjusted for a later start time and the addition of a premium time slot for doubles/singles squads. Team events will run at 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., while doubles/singles squads will take place at 8 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
All doubles/singles squads will feature four players, instead of six, on each pair of lanes, which will reduce the time needed to complete each squad.
The Women's Championships will make its fourth trip to Las Vegas in 2020 and second visit to the South Point Bowling Plaza. The 60-lane venue hosted the 2016 Women's Championships.
The registration deadline for the 2019 Women's Championships in Wichita, Kansas, which will kick off its 100th edition April 20, has been extended to May 13.
The 2019 event, which is being held at Northrock Lanes, expects to welcome more than 4,100 teams to its 100th celebration. The event runs through June 30.
The 2019 USBC Queens, a major championship on the Professional Women's Bowling Association Tour schedule, will take place at Northrock Lanes from May 15-21 with a live broadcast of the stepladder finals on CBS Sports Network on May 21 at 8 p.m. Eastern.
