SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Love was in the air and on the lanes at the Oncenter Convention Center as newlyweds Jessica Reeher and Evan Haas celebrated part of their wedding day at the USBC Women's Championships.

After the two were pronounced man and wife in the Oncenter Atrium on June 15, the Cicero, N.Y., couple took advantage of the tournament venue for wedding pictures on the lanes. Reeher, 32, and Haas, 27, plus their 11 attendants, used lanes 47 and 48 as the back drop for some fun wedding-party photos before the 6 p.m. team squad.

Bowlers who competed earlier stopped to watch the brief photo shoot and take their own pictures.

While planning their wedding, Reeher and Haas heard about the tournament's commitment to the helping the community through Habitat for Humanity. Both were impressed by USBC's charitable work, which led them to include the tournament in their special day.

"It's very unusual and unique," Haas said. "We wanted to be a part of it in some way, so we were excited to have the opportunity."
