New Smart TV apps enhance BowlTV experience

ARLINGTON, Texas BowlTV subscribers can now enjoy an upgraded viewing experience with new Smart TV apps that allow them to stream the service directly on their televisions.

The BowlTV app is now available on major platforms, including Roku, tvOS (Apple TV), Android TV and Fire TV/Google TV, giving subscribers seamless access to live-streamed professional and amateur bowling events from the comfort of their homes. Availability on the Tizen (Samsung) platform is expected to come later.

As the exclusive livestreaming platform of the United States Bowling Congress, BowlTV offers unparalleled access to premier events in the sport, from the Professional Bowlers Association and Professional Women’s Bowling Association tours to USBC national events, including the USBC Masters, U.S. Open, U.S. Women’s Open, PBA50 Tour events, PWBA regionals and youth competitions like USA Bowling and the Junior Gold Championships.

With the newly added Smart TV applications, BowlTV subscribers can now download the BowlTV app directly to compatible Smart TVs. The apps will work on any model of Smart TV using tvOS, FireTV, Android TV and Roku.
While direct support for LG Smart TVs is not yet available, subscribers can cast from their smartphones to LG screens for an uninterrupted viewing experience.

“We’re thrilled to bring BowlTV to so many new platforms and make it easier than ever for fans to watch live bowling on their preferred devices,” said Dennis Hacker, President of the United States Bowling Congress. “With this expansion, we’re able to reach a wider audience and connect fans with the excitement of bowling in a more accessible and convenient way.”

Beyond Smart TVs, BowlTV can be enjoyed “on the go” by downloading the app on Google Play or the App Store for iOS and Android devices. The mobile app allows subscribers to cast to various platforms, search videos, receive live event notifications and access on-demand and archived tournament videos. For Amazon tablet users, the BowlTV app also is available in the Amazon store.

Throughout 2025, BowlTV will feature an exciting lineup of live events from across the country, which kicked off with the Team USA Trials on Jan. 3. Bowling fans can look forward to a front-row seat to the year’s most thrilling tournaments, all accessible through the enhanced BowlTV platform.
