ARLINGTON, Texas - The 2014 USBC Team USA Trials, where five men's and five women's spots on Team USA will be awarded, will take place at The Orleans Bowling Center in Las Vegas from Jan. 3-8.

The field will be capped at 175 men and 175 women, and the event will once again feature five rounds of qualifying leading to the stepladder finals for the top three in each division.

The top three men and top three women after qualifying will already be guaranteed spots on Team USA in 2014 and will bowl in the stepladder finals for the right to be declared champion, a spot in the QubicaAMF World Cup and prize money. Two more men and two more women will be selected to join Team USA.

For the third consecutive year, the standings at the Team USA Trials will be based on a points system. The unique system rewards consistency and versatility by ranking players in the field so performance on each lane condition has equal significance.

Team USA 2014 will consist of 12 men and 12 women. The Summer Team USA Trials and Team USA Trials in January account for seven spots on each team, while the remainder of the spots will be selections by the National Selection Committee.

The location for the 2015 USBC Team USA Trials has also been announced and will take place at Sam's Town Bowling Center in Las Vegas in early January of 2015.
