Leea Haworth takes home PWBA Northwest Regional title

Former collegiate standout Leea Haworth of Tumwater, Washington, captured the win at the Professional Women’s Bowling Association Northwest Regional in Federal Way, Washington, on Sunday.
Haworth, who competed at Robert Morris-Illinois and helped the Eagles win the 2014 XBowling Intercollegiate Team Championships, led qualifying at Secoma Lanes and rolled to a 5-2-1 record in match play to secure the title by more than 200 pins. She finished with a 3,498 total, including 165 bonus pins, to collect the $1,200 top prize.
Lindsay Boomershine of Brigham City, Utah, finished second with 3,297, while April Lord-Wittig of Steilacoom, Washington, finished third with 3,276.
The next PWBA regional event will take place June 26-27 at Pro Bowl West in Fort Wayne, Indiana..
