Indianapolis USBC Youth get an up-close look at a PBA Tour stop

The final event of the 2010-11 Lumber Liquidators Professional Bowlers Association Tour season was the Dick Weber PBA Playoffs. USBC Youth members in the Indianapolis area had the chance to see the how the final three PBA Tour players reached the championship round at Woodland Bowl.

As part of the PBA/USBC Insiders' Tour, five USBC Youth members were on hand to watch Dick Allen, Chris Barnes and Randy Weiss roll their way to conference championships. Allen would go on to capture the title on Sunday, April 17, with a two-game sweep of Barnes in the title match.

Rich Sirola, the USBC Indy Association Youth Director who attended matches with the five youth bowlers, said the experience "went above and beyond all expectations." The USBC Youth members had the opportunity to go behind the scene for tours in the equipment trailers and then were able to watch their favorite bowlers from front-row seats.

The USBC Youth bowlers went onto the approach to have their picture taken with the bowlers who qualified for the final show. The Indy group members, in their USBC Youth jerseys, were (from left): Rich Sirola, Tony Hoffman, Amy Worsham, Nicholas Beedie, Jimmy Finchum and Logan Sirola.

This marked the second season of the PBA/USBC Insiders' Tour. At PBA Tour stops throughout the country, USBC Youth members were given special access at PBA events to meet the tour's stars, get behind-the-scenes looks at what happens during a PBA Tour stop and also received special seats for the championship matches. Program participants were randomly selected from area USBC Youth bowlers.
