Women's competition
Vanderbilt claimed its fourth consecutive Hawk Classic victory after defeating Fairleigh Dickinson 4-1 in the best-of-seven Baker finals. Vanderbilt, which earned the top seed in the bracket by finishing with 9,432 during qualifying, earned a bye into the finals after beating Fairleigh in the first round 4-2. Fairleigh earned the return match by defeating third-place finisher Maryland-Eastern Shore 4.5-2.5. Valparaiso and New Jersey City took the final two spots in the top five.
Paula Vilas of Maryland-Eastern Shore earned the top individual spot by shooting 1,015 for five games, an average of 203. She was the only competitor to break 1,000, as second-place finisher Rachael Gittings of Arkansas State (999 - 199.80) narrowly missed the number. Danielle Merino of Adelphi (998 - 199.60), Brittni Hamilton of Vanderbilt (995 - 199.00) and Angela Reynolds of Delaware State (990 - 198.00) finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively.

Rochester Institute of Technology-A overcame nearly a 125-pin deficit after team play to take home first place at the Penn State Classic. After posting 5,805 pins for the six team games, RIT-A put together the highest Baker score of all teams, shooting 3,069 to finish with an 8,874 total. This put them ahead of William Paterson-A, which finished second with 8,769. Sacred Heart University took third with 8,634, while Penn State-UP-A (8,610) and Penn State-Berks-A (8,585) rounded out the top five.
Joseph Novarra of Briarcliffe College ran away with the individual title, posting a six-game total of 1,357 for an average of 226.17. Jonathan Vavro of Penn State-UP-A placed second by finishing at 1,295 (215.83). He was followed by Justin Bouyea of SUNY Institute of Technology-A (1,236 - 206.00), Mark Strausbaugh of Shippensburg University (1,235 - 205.83) and Kyle Keegan of Rochester Institute of Technology-A (1,227 - 204.50).

Women's competition
Penn State-UP jumped out to an early lead by shooting 5,529 during team play, building a lead that would not be challenged during Baker competition. Their 2,781 total in Baker gave Penn State-UP a grand total of 8,310 and the first-place position. Erie Community College (8,112), Briarcliffe College (8,067), Rochester Institute of Technology (7,845) and SUNY Institute of Technology (7,748) rounded out the top five.
In the individual competition, Liz Seibel of Penn State-UP posted a 1,226 total for six games (204.33), barely edging Gina Capone of Briarcliffe, who finished with 1,213 (202.17). Danielle Knittle of Penn State-UP took third with 1,192 (198.67). Jenna Law of Erie Community College (1,171 - 195.17) and Jennifer Reagan of Rochester Institute of Technology (1,155 - 192.50) took home fourth and fifth, respectively.

Morehead-Red held off three Lindenwood teams to take the top spot at the BTM Striking Knights. Morehead-Red finished with a 8,423 total, staying ahead of Lindenwood-Black (8,340), Lindenwood-Gold (8,274) and Lindenwood-Mufasas (8,190). Central Florida grabbed the last spot in the top five with 8,144.
Mike Conn of Bellarmine-Tristan set the pace for individual scores, averaging 232.60 for five games for a total of 1,163. He barely clipped Steven Zimmer of Morehead-Red, who finished one pin behind at 1,162 (232.40). Dan Spink of Lindenwood-Black (1,158 - 231.60) finished in the third position, with Joe May of Central Florida (1,143 - 228.60) and Jacob Setchell of Lindenwood-Mufasas (1,134 - 226.80) taking home the final two spots in the top five.

Central Florida took third with a 7,992 total, while Pikeville-Primm (7,783) and Lindenwood-Superstars (7,745) took home the final two spots in the top five.
The top individual spots were highly contested as well, as the top bowlers found themselves within 19 pins of each other. Laura Fonnegra of Lindenwood-Superstars took home the top spot, averaging 216.60 for five games and a final total of 1,083. Samantha Deaton of Lindenwood-Rasmussen finished second with 1,080 (216.00). Finding themselves in third after team play with 5,995 pins, Whitewater-Rogue put together a Baker score of 3,278 to jump into first with a total of 9,273. Coming in second was Nebraska-Lincoln with 9,235. Viterbo-A (9,075), Whitewater-Mutant (8,947) and UNO-Red (8,934) filled out the top five.
Joe Ladwig of UNO-Red walked away with the individual title, firing 1,415 for six games and a 235.83 average. UW Milwaukee snuck by South Dakota State by the slimmest margin possible to take home first place. UW Milwaukee's final tally of 7,854 ended up being one pin more than challenger South Dakota State, which finished at 7,853. Rock Valley (7,742), Viterbo (7,707) and UW Platteville (7,517) rounded out the top five.
Laura Swenson of Rock Valley won the individual title, with a final total of 1,185 (197.50). Her nearest competitor was Kendra Bundy of Viterbo, who posted a 1,151 (191.83). Kara Busch of South Dakota State (1,143 - 190.50), Stephanie Meier of UW Milwaukee (1,131 - 188.50) and Addie Darga of UW Platteville (1,121 - 186.83) earned the final three spots in the top five.

CSU-Fresno-Red finished at 8,544 to take first place in the Power Point standings. UC-Davis-Gold took second with a total of 8,485. UNLV-Black (8,455), San Jose Sate-Blue (8,068) and Arizona State-Haugen (8,020) earned the final spots in the top five.
The top four teams advanced to the stepladders, which featured a best-of-five Baker format. UNLV-Black proved to be the toughest competitor, winning three matches to claim the tournament title. They defeated San Jose State-Blue (3-1) and UC-Davis-Gold (3-1) before knocking out top seed CSU-Fresno-Red (3-2).
Individually, Michael Bolnick of Arizona-Red tossed the highest eight-game score, finishing with 1,836 for an average of 229.50. Finishing closely behind was Casey Albert of UC-Davis-Gold with a finally tally of 1,829 (228.63). Brian Makan of Arizona State-Haugen took third with a total of 1,823 (227.88), while Travis Adams of CSU-Fresno-Red (1,765 - 220.63) and Nick Lamek of UNLV-Red (1,718 - 214.75) took home fourth and fifth, respectively.

Vanderbilt claimed its fourth consecutive Hawk Classic victory after defeating Fairleigh Dickinson 4-1 in the best-of-seven Baker finals. Vanderbilt, which earned the top seed in the bracket by finishing with 9,432 during qualifying, earned a bye into the finals after beating Fairleigh in the first round 4-2. Fairleigh earned the return match by defeating third-place finisher Maryland-Eastern Shore 4.5-2.5. Valparaiso and New Jersey City took the final two spots in the top five.
Paula Vilas of Maryland-Eastern Shore earned the top individual spot by shooting 1,015 for five games, an average of 203. She was the only competitor to break 1,000, as second-place finisher Rachael Gittings of Arkansas State (999 - 199.80) narrowly missed the number. Danielle Merino of Adelphi (998 - 199.60), Brittni Hamilton of Vanderbilt (995 - 199.00) and Angela Reynolds of Delaware State (990 - 198.00) finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively.

Rochester Institute of Technology-A overcame nearly a 125-pin deficit after team play to take home first place at the Penn State Classic. After posting 5,805 pins for the six team games, RIT-A put together the highest Baker score of all teams, shooting 3,069 to finish with an 8,874 total. This put them ahead of William Paterson-A, which finished second with 8,769. Sacred Heart University took third with 8,634, while Penn State-UP-A (8,610) and Penn State-Berks-A (8,585) rounded out the top five.
Joseph Novarra of Briarcliffe College ran away with the individual title, posting a six-game total of 1,357 for an average of 226.17. Jonathan Vavro of Penn State-UP-A placed second by finishing at 1,295 (215.83). CSU-Fresno-Red finished at 8,544 to take first place in the Power Point standings. UC-Davis-Gold took second with a total of 8,485. UNLV-Black (8,455), San Jose Sate-Blue (8,068) and Arizona State-Haugen (8,020) earned the final spots in the top five.
The top four teams advanced to the stepladders, which featured a best-of-five Baker format. UNLV-Black proved to be the toughest competitor, winning three matches to claim the tournament title. They defeated San Jose State-Blue (3-1) and UC-Davis-Gold (3-1) before knocking out top seed CSU-Fresno-Red (3-2).
Individually, Michael Bolnick of Arizona-Red tossed the highest eight-game score, finishing with 1,836 for an average of 229.50. Finishing closely behind was Casey Albert of UC-Davis-Gold with a finally tally of 1,829 (228.63).
