Morehead State men, Lindenwood women win Boilermaker Classic

LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Morehead State outdueled a field of 26 men's schools, while the Lindenwood women finished ahead of 18 schools at Mike Aulby's Arrowhead Bowl to win titles at the Boilermaker Classic.

Morehead State finished with a total of 8,195, which topped Purdue by 45 pins. Davenport took third, Lindenwood fourth and McKendree rounded out the top five.

Lindenwood's Tyler Vocks took top individual honors with a five-game total of 1,089 (217.8 average). Morehead's Freddie Ringrose was second with 1,077, while his teammate, Steven Zimmer, was next at 1,063.

The Lindenwood women ended with a 7,776 total, topping McKendree's 7,587 total. Purdue was third, Bellarmine fourth and Marian fifth.

Amanda Greene of Lindenwood finished first among the women with 1,009 for five games. Cheyenne Long of Saginaw Valley State was second with 1,000, while Purdue's Ellyse Shields was third at 991.

West Texas A&M sweeps SWIBC II tournament

CONROE, Texas - West Texas A&M's men's and women's teams swept the titles at the SWIBC II tournament at Conroe 300.

West Texas A&M took the top spot with a 9,315 total, while North Texas finished second at 9,092. Texas A&M's Gregory Cook was the high individual with a five-game total of 1,187 (237.4 average), while Houston's Todd Moreno and North Texas' Robert Wyman tied for second with 1,173.

The West Texas A&M women had little trouble in winning with an 8,525 total. LSU was second with 6,493. Hanna Stedman paced West Texas with 1,073 (214.6), while teammates Diana Barkett (999) and Katie Mulcahy (994) rounded out the top three.

Milwaukee, Oshkosh take Wisconsin Conference wins

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Wisconsin-Oshkosh earned victories in the Wisconsin Conference's second match of the season at Wagners Lanes.

Milwaukee finished on top of the 12-school field with 10,606, topping second place Wisconsin-Whitewater by 163 pins. Winona State took third with 10,411.

James Colbo led Milwaukee with a six-game total of 1,245 (207.5 average) and was followed by Minnesota-Twin Cities' Ryan Novak (1,237) and Milwaukee's Alex Winter (1,236).

Oshkosh came out ahead of the seven-school women's field with a 7,734 total, topping Milwaukee's 7,677. Ashley Stocker led Oshkosh with 1,016 (169.3 average), while Milwaukee's Stephanie Meier finished second with 1,006.
