Maryland Eastern Shore takes top spot at Hawk Classic
MILLSBORO, Del. - In a field of 20 NCAA schools, Maryland Eastern Shore went 11-2 and finished with a total pinfall of 9,417 to top qualifying, then swept second qualifier Central Missouri, 4-0, in the title match at the Hawk Classic at Millsboro Lanes.
Central Missouri went 7-6 in matches and totaled 8,905. Sam Houston State, the No. 4 qualifier with an 8,781 pinfall total and a 10-3 record, topped No. 3 seed Delaware State (8,877, 6-7) and then edged No. 6 Sacred Heart University (8,705, 7-6) for third place in the bracket finals. Kutztown, which took ninth, was 12th in qualifying but had the best record at 12-1.
UMES' Anggie Ramirez finished with a five-game total of 1,189 (237.8 average) to finish on top of the individual standings and earn MVP honors. Her teammate, Kristina Frahm, was second with 1,162, while Central Missouri's Natalie Jimenez was third with 1,147.

Lindenwood women, Morehead men win BTM Striking Knights Classic
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Lindenwood women edged out Pikeville, while Morehead claimed the men's title in the BTM Striking Knights Classic at AMF Rose Bowl North.
Lindenwood finished with 8,017, topping Pikeville by just 16 pins. Bellarmine took third among the 15 women's schools with 7,638.
Pikeville's Kim Yioulos won her third consecutive individual title this collegiate season with a five-game total of 1,073 (214.6 average). Bellarmine's Kaitlin Quinn was second with 1,022, while Florida State's Melissa Wunch was third with 1,018.
The Morehead men totaled 8,078, while Lindenwood finished second with 7,989. Louisville had 7,964 to round out the top three among the 15 schools.
Louisville's John McCarthy took top individual honors with 1,075 (215 average), while Northwestern Ohio's Chase Carter was second with 1,038. In a three-way tie for third, Bellarmine's Kevin Kerstein, Florida State's Jonathan Apolinario and Morehead's E.J. Smith all shot 1,034.

Robert Morris (Illinois) sweeps titles at Titan Invitational
OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Robert Morris (Illinois) men and women took home the titles at the Titan Invitational at Oshkosh Lanes.
The Robert Morris men had a pinfall of 9,566 to easily surpass Wisconsin-Whitewater, which was second with 9,233. North Dakota State was third among the 16 schools with 9,068.
Chris Bardol of Robert Morris led the men with a six-game total of 1,394 (232.3 average). Wisconsin-Oshkosh's Matt Mead was second with 1,311, while Kyle Bischoff of Minnesota State-Mankato was third with 1,305.
On the women's side, Robert Morris won the six-school event with 8,742, topping Midland's 8,513.
Samantha Kelly of Robert Morris was the top individual with 1,189 (198.1 average), while Sabrina Bolyard of Wisconsin-Milwaukee was second with 1,165.

Florida International claims FIU Shootout
MIAMI - Host school Florida International took the title at the FIU Shootout at Bird Bowl. FIU finished with 10,297, topping Central Florida's 9,716.
Central Florida's Louis Sadowski won individual honors with a six-game total of 1,336 (222.7 average). FIU's Enrique Quinoa was second with 1,279, while Central Florida's Ryne Stone rounded out the top three with 1,270.

UNLV wins Camarillo Open
CAMARILLO, Calif. - The UNLV men claimed the title at the Camarillo Open with 8,504, edging Cal State Fresno, which was second with 8,479 at Harley's Camarillo Bowl. UC-Davis took third with 8,163.
Fresno's Greg Geering was the top individual with an eight-game total of 1,753 (219.1 average), while Arizona's Aaron Foshie was second with 1,747. UNLV's April Urban was third with 1,716.
Fresno was the only women's team to compete and Michelle Gratton led the team with 1,647 (205.8 average).
