McKendree men, Wichita State women win S.I. Elite Invitational
FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. - The McKendee men slipped past Wichita State by eight pins, while the Wichita State women edged McKendree by 20 at the S.I. Elite Invitational.
Led by Matt Anastasia and Jason Schwartz, who finished second and third respectively in the individual standings, McKendree finished with a total of 8,790. Wichita State was second with 8,782, while Newman took third with 8,665 among the 15 schools competing.
Vincennes' Austin Boulds took top individual honors with a nine-game total of 1,950 (216.6 average). Anastasia was next at 1,918 and Schwartz was third with 1,872.
The Wichita State women tallied 8,450 to take the top spot, while McKendree finished with 8,430. Lindenwood took third with 8,417 among the 12 schools.
Lindenwood's Amanda Greene was the high individual with 1,808 (200.8 average). Wichita State's Jessica Baker was second (1,783) and her teammate Maggie Zakrezweski was third (1,782).

William Paterson, Briarcliffe take Penn State Classic titles
BELLEFONTE, Pa. - The William Paterson men edged out a win, while the Briarcliffe women ran away with the title at the Penn State Classic at Bellefonte Lanes.
In a field of 26 schools, William Paterson finished with a total of 8,806, just seven pins better than Rochester Institute of Technology. Penn State finished third.
Jonathan Deuire of William Paterson led the individual standings with 1,109 (221.8 average) for five games. RIT's Tyler Herrman was second at 1,077, and Stony Brook's Joshua Graham took third at 1,076.
Briarcliffe led the seven-school women's field with 8,589 for a 946-pin victory over RIT.
Briarcliffe also occupied the top three spots in the individual standings. Danielle Cessman led with 1,068 (213.6 average), Sarah O'Brien was next with 1,061 and Stephanie Guzik was third at 1,029.

Lippert, Bischoff led Mankato men to win at Minnesota Invitational
ST. PAUL, Minn. - Led by Jon Lippert and Kyle Bischoff, Minnesota State Mankato easily won the men's title at the Minnesota Invitational at Midway Pro Bowl.
Powered by a Baker 300 game, Mankato finished with a total of 12,487 to top William Penn, which was second with 12,199. North Dakota State finished third among the 13 schools with 11,369.
Lippert took top individual honors with a six-game total of 1,462 (243.6 average), while Bischoff was second with 1,423. William Penn's Andrew Zaug was third with 1,411.
In the three-school women's field, Midland won with 10,988. Midland's Kristen Ruzicka was the high individual with 1,214 (202.3 average).

Pikeville sweeps titles at Raider Classic
KETTERING, Ohio - The Pikevillle men and women swept the titles at the Raider Classic at Poelking Woodman Lanes.
The Pikeville men won the knockout round with a 407-371 victory over Notre Dame (Ohio). Purdue led the 22 schools in qualifying with a 9,199 total.
James Cheff of Pikeville topped all individuals with a five-game total of 1,199 (239.8 average), while Purdue's T.J. Schmidt was second with 1,180.
On the women's side, Pikeville's A and B teams advanced to the knockout round final and elected not to bowl the final match. Pikeville led qualifying with 8,721, topping the 17-school field.
Pikeville's Kim Yioulos earned high individual honors with 1,069 (213.8), while Bellarmine's Christi Spears was second with 1,043.

Nebraska claims top spot at Crusader Classic
MERRILLVILLE, Ind. - Nebraska defeated Valparaiso, 4-0, to win the Crusader Classic in NCAA competition at Stardust Bowl II.
The Huskers swept Valpo 223-203, 212-192, 210-209 and 192-154 to finish first. Valparaiso's Natalie Cortese led the individual standings with a five-game total of 1,068 (213.6 average).

Fairleigh Dickinson wins Northeast Conference meet
READING, Pa. - At the Northeast Conference's opening meet of the season, defending NCAA champions Fairleigh Dickinson took the top spot with a 9,462 total. Kutztown finished second with 9,267.
Fairleigh Dickinson's Danielle McEwan was the top individual with a nine-game total of 2,102 (233.5 average), while Kayla Jones of Kutztown was second with 2,025.

Maryland Eastern Shore tops MEAC North Divisional Meet
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Maryland Eastern Shore finished on top at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference North Divisional Meet. Eastern Shore finished with 9,135, topping Delaware State's 8,242.
Eastern Shore occupied the top three spots in the individual standings with Tnia Falbo leading the way with a five-game total of 1,043 (208.6 average). Maria Jose Rodriguez was second with 1,042, while Martha Perez was third at 1,028.

Louisiana Tech wins Lady Tiger Classic
HOUSTON - Louisiana Tech ended with 12,136 to finish on top at the Lady Tiger Classic. Prairie View A&M finished second with 11,007.
Houston Granger led Louisiana Tech and all individuals with a seven-game total of 1,473 (210.4 average).
