The McKendree Baker Challenge tournament consisted of 40 Baker games over two days, and all scores were scratch with no bonus pins. After 40 Baker games, the field was cut to the top eight for a best-of-three Baker format elimination bracket.
On the men's side, McKendree Achmed upset top qualifier Lindenwood Black en route to the title match, but lost to No. 2 qualifier Newman Red for the championship.
For the women, top qualifiers Webber International and Vandebilt advanced to the title match where Vanderbilt rolled games of 268 and 275 to claim the title.

Nebraska won its second tournament title this season at the Griffin Invitational in St. Louis, Mo. Nebraska's 13,083 total pinfall was more than 100 pins higher than second-place Arkansas State (12,914).
Nebraska senior Cassie Leuthold notched her second first-place finish and fifth top-10 finish of the season with a 218 average over the three-day tournament, and she also earned Most Valuable Player honors.
