NCAA Competition
Vanderbilt rallied from a 0-3 championship-match deficit to defeat Arkansas State 4-3 (244-248, 199-209, 183-228, 225-171, 212-198, 235-212, 194-168) and win the tournament title. In making the comeback, the Commodores avenged the first-round loss it suffered at the hands of Arkansas State, which rallied from its own 0-3 hole to win that match 4-3 (211-258, 221-234, 193-232, 216-191, 205-185, 204-181, 215-207).
Louisiana Tech, Stephen F. Austin and Minnesota-Mankato finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
Natalie Cortese of Valparaiso University was top in individual action, shooting a 290 en route to a five-game total of 1,124, which was good for a 224.80 average. Brittni Hamilton of Vanderbilt (1,107 - 221.40), Jessica Earnest of Vanderbilt (865 - 216.25), Cassie Leuthold of Nebraska (1,080 - 216.00), Samantha Santoro of Arkansas State (1,021 - 204.20) and Lisa Hoover of Minnesota-Mankato (1,021 - 204.20) joined Cortese on the all-tournament team.

Women's competition
Wichita State-Black shot 6,044 during team and 2,019 during Baker, which included a 299 in Game 2, to finish atop the Power Point standings with 8,063. McKendree-1 and Robert Morris University of Illinois-Gold tied for second at 7,180. Wright State (7,104) and Wichita State-Gold (7,034) grabbed the final spots in the top five.
McKendree-1 got revenge during knockout competition, downing Wichita State-Black, 391-342, to win that portion of the event. Robert Morris-Gold grabbed third place while McKendree-2 settled in for fourth.
The battle for the individual crown was held largely between Wichita State-Black teammates. Rocio Restrepo (1,234), Sandra Gongora (1,222), Jazreel Tan (1,220) and Mariana Ayala (1,210), all of Wichita State-Black, finished one through four during the six-game individual block. Brandi Branka of McKendree-1 broke the streak by finishing fifth with 1,184. Jessica Baker of Wichita State-Black and Maggie Zakrzewski of Wichita State-Gold tied for sixth with 1,158.

Men's competition
Wichita State-Barnes held off Robert Morris University of Illinois-Gold, 8,100-7,997, to capture first place in the Power Point standings of this the 31-team event.
Wichita got out of the gate quickly, shooting 1,119 during the opening game of team play to vault into the lead. It would finish the round with a six-game total of 6,112 and a 106-pin lead over Robert Morris (6,006).
The Eagles outscored Wichita during Baker, but by just three pins, 1,991-1,988, which allowed the Shockers to breeze to the tournament title.
Rochester Institute of Technology was third with 7,738. Saginaw Valley State finished fourth at 7,728, leaving McKendree-1 to settle for fifth (7,700).
Robert Morris-Gold won the knockout portion of the event, defeating Wichita State-Barnes, 417-376, in the two-game, total pin championship match. Rochester Institute of Technology finished third. Wichita State-Rash was fourth.
Josh Blanchard of Wichita State-Barnes topped all individuals with a six-game total of 1,297, which included a closing 254. Michael Snell of Nebraska-Lincoln was second with 1,290. Tyler Herrman of R.I.T. shot 1,282 to place third. Mikey Hill of Robert Morris University of Illinois-Gold (1,269) and JR Raymond of McKendree-1 (1,244) finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

CSU-Fresno State cruised to first place with 83 points, which was nearly double the 45 put up by second-place UC-Davis. San Jose State (42), Oregon (38) and Weber State (36) comprised the remainder of the field.
Jasmine Coleman of CSU-Fresno State won the individual competition with a nine-game total of 1,713, which was good for an average of 190.33 per game. Sky Uyehara, also of CSU-Fresno State, was second with 1,646. Keity Warner of UC-Davis was third with 1,612. Brittney Hendrickson and Katey Nelson, both of CSU-Fresno State, shot 1,608 and 1,536, respectively.

Paul Hogan of CSU-Fresno State-Blue won the individual competition with a nine-game total of 1,883, an average of 209.22. Greg Geering, also of CSU-Fresno State-Blue, finished second at 1,875 (208.33). Norfolk State amassed an 8-2 record and put up 7,705 total pins while capturing first place at this eight-team event. Despite a 9-1 record, Prairie View A&M was forced to settle for second place with 7,531. Florida State (7,261), North Carolina A&T (6,892) and Alabama State (6,892) also cracked the top five.
The individual crown went to Cathryn Myrick of Norfolk State, who led the pack with a five-game total of 957. A pair of Prairie View A&M bowlers grabbed spots two and three. Lejewlia Lewis finished second with 956, and Cynthia Veney was third at 934. Akira Turner of Florida State shot 922 to finish fourth, leaving Lindsey Green of North Carolina-Central to claim fifth with 867.

Wichita State-Black shot 6,044 during team and 2,019 during Baker, which included a 299 in Game 2, to finish atop the Power Point standings with 8,063. McKendree-1 and Robert Morris University of Illinois-Gold tied for second at 7,180. Wright State (7,104) and Wichita State-Gold (7,034) grabbed the final spots in the top five.
McKendree-1 got revenge during knockout competition, downing Wichita State-Black, 391-342, to win that portion of the event. Robert Morris-Gold grabbed third place while McKendree-2 settled in for fourth.
The battle for the individual crown was held largely between Wichita State-Black teammates. Rocio Restrepo (1,234), Sandra Gongora (1,222), Jazreel Tan (1,220) and Mariana Ayala (1,210), all of Wichita State-Black, finished one through four during the six-game individual block. Brandi Branka of McKendree-1 broke the streak by finishing fifth with 1,184. Jessica Baker of Wichita State-Black and Maggie Zakrzewski of Wichita State-Gold tied for sixth with 1,158.

Men's competition
Wichita State-Barnes held off Robert Morris University of Illinois-Gold, 8,100-7,997, to capture first place in the Power Point standings of this the 31-team event.
Wichita got out of the gate quickly, shooting 1,119 during the opening game of team play to vault into the lead. It would finish the round with a six-game total of 6,112 and a 106-pin lead over Robert Morris (6,006).
The Eagles outscored Wichita during Baker, but by just three pins, 1,991-1,988, which allowed the Shockers to breeze to the tournament title.
Rochester Institute of Technology was third with 7,738. Saginaw Valley State finished fourth at 7,728, leaving McKendree-1 to settle for fifth (7,700).
Robert Morris-Gold won the knockout portion of the event, defeating Wichita State-Barnes, 417-376, in the two-game, total pin championship match. Rochester Institute of Technology finished third. Wichita State-Rash was fourth.
Josh Blanchard of Wichita State-Barnes topped all individuals with a six-game total of 1,297, which included a closing 254. Michael Snell of Nebraska-Lincoln was second with 1,290. Tyler Herrman of R.I.T. shot 1,282 to place third. Mikey Hill of Robert Morris University of Illinois-Gold (1,269) and JR Raymond of McKendree-1 (1,244) finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Jasmine Coleman of CSU-Fresno State won the individual competition with a nine-game total of 1,713, which was good for an average of 190.33 per game. Sky Uyehara, also of CSU-Fresno State, was second with 1,646. Keity Warner of UC-Davis was third with 1,612. Brittney Hendrickson and Katey Nelson, both of CSU-Fresno State, shot 1,608 and 1,536, respectively.
