Women's competition

Wright State-Green shot three of the four highest team scores - 951, 940 and 920 - and remained steady during Baker play to put up a grand total of 7,680, including bonus, which put the Raiders in first place by more than 400 pins ahead of second-place Adrian-A (7,237). Michigan State (7,102), Michigan (6,961) and Davenport (6,949) rounded out the top five.

A pair of Wright State bowlers grabbed the top two individual places. Heidi Sanders shot no worse than 179 and had a high game of 210 en route to a five-game total of 962, which was good for a 192.40 average and first place. Kristen Keenan was second at 948 (189.60). Samantha Johnson of Grand Valley State was third with 946 (189.20). Theresa Schweirmann of Bellarmine was fourth at 940 (188.00). Allyse Harrah of Ohio State was fifth (931 - 186.20).

Men's competition
Wright State-Red established a sizeable lead during team play and never let up as the competition moved to Baker action. The result was as a total of 8,634, which put the Raiders in first place atop the 42-team field.

Davenport-Red was second with 7,988. Saginaw Valley State was third with 7,958, leaving Youngstown State (7,881) and Bellarmine-Burgundy (7,678) to settle for fourth and fifth, respectively.

Jay Foote of Wright State won the individual competition with a five-game total of 1,090. He shot 210 or better four times and carded two games in the 240s, 248 and 244. Curtiss Rasnic Jr., also of Wright State, was second with 1,071. Mike Conn of Bellarmine was third with 1,064. Justin Marcinko of Wright State (1,049) and Chuck Zarbaugh III of Youngstown State (1,034) grabbed the final spots in the top five.

West Texas A&M shot 4,299 during team and 2,788 during Baker to form the winning total of 7,537, including bonus. Houston was second with 6,715. North Texas (6,454), New Mexico (5,845), Texas A&M (5,766), LSU (5,266) and Our Lady of the Lake (4,370) rounded out the standings.

Kate Mulcahy of West Texas A&M led the individual race with a five-game total of 933, which included a 220 in Game 1. Nicollette Yurich of West Texas A&M finished second at 919. Aril Wotipka of Houston was third with 898. Gabby Potts of West Texas A&M was fourth (871), and Penny Pederson of North Texas was fifth (846).

Samantha Kelly of Robert Morris-Gold won the individual race with a six-game total of 1,208. She was the only bowler to average above 200; she finished at 201.33. Megan Jirsa of Viterbo was second with 1,152. Vicki Guadagno of Robert Morris-Maroon was third with 1,142. Andrew Steadman of Nebraska-Lincoln was second with 1,268. CSU-Fresno State had little trouble getting to the top of this five-team field, shooting 9,335 to finish nearly 1,800 pins ahead of its nearest pursuer, UC-Davis (7,542). Washington State (7,344), San Jose State (6,488) and Weber State (5,570) rounded out the field.

Jasmine Coleman of CSU-Fresno State ran away with the individual crown, shooting a six-game total of 1,219. She was the only bowler to average over 200 (203.17). Courtney Criswell of San Jose State was second with 1,109 (184.83). Lauren Duncan, Brittney Hendrickson and Katey Nelson, all of CSU-Fresno State, shot 1,043, 1,041 and 1,010, respectively.

Keyon Lemus of UC-Santa Barbara topped the individual field with a six-game total of 1,257. Paul Hogan of CSU-Fresno State-Blue and David Doyle of San Jose State-Blue each finished with 1,249. Greg Geering of CSU-Fresno State-Blue was fourth with 1,244. Mike Fujita of UC-Davis-Gold finished fifth (1,239).

Women's competition

The battle for first place involved four teams, Mohawk Valley, Rochester Institute of Technology, SUNY-IT and Erie. The battle was fierce, but Mohawk Valley prevailed, establishing a winning total of 7,733, which put it just two pins ahead of R.I.T (7,731), four ahead of SUNY-IT (7,729) and nine clear of Erie (7,724). Penn State-Berks (7,150) and Monmouth (6,819) rounded out the field.

The battle for first place among individual bowlers was not quite as close as Corey Bernard of Erie fired a six-game total of 1,238, which put her 30 pins clear of the 1,208 put up by Liz Snyder of R.I.T. Gina Maduri of Erie was third with 1,146. Krystal Walters of Mohawk Valley (1,132) and Jennifer Reagan of R.I.T. (1,114) secured the final places in the top five.

William Paterson topped the field by 467 pins during the team portion of the event. That allowed the Pioneers to cruise during Baker play and still finish in first place with a final score of 8,786. Erie was second with 8,547. Penn State-Berks (8,189), Mohawk Valley-Green (8,171) and Monmouth (8,078) rounded out the top five.

Josh Grabiec of Western New England topped the individual standings with a six-game total of 1,256. Jeff Szabo of William Paterson secured second place with 1,228, which was just two pins ahead of Adam Corder (1,226) and three pins ahead of John Kolessides (1,226), both of George Mason. Fifth place went to Jonathan Deuire of William Paterson (1,223).

There were only nine games of 1,000 or better shot during this tournament, and Wichita State-C authored four of them - 1,225, 1,124, 1,042 and 1,033 - on its way to a total of 8,970 and first place atop the 24-team field. Pikeville-Black was second with 8,462. Wichita State-A was third with 8,456, leaving McKendree-McGriff (8,440) and Lindenwood-Donahue (8,435) to settle for fourth and fifth, respectively.

A trio of Wichita State bowlers grabbed the top three individual spots. Jessica Baker led the pack with a nine-game total of 1,846. Jazreel Tan was second with 1,826, and Sandra Gongora was third at 1,811. Brandi Branka of McKendree was the highest non-Wichita State finisher. She finished fourth with 1,808. Rocio Restrepo got Wichita State back into position by grabbing the final spot in the top five. She shot 1,802.

Lindenwood-Black was third with 9,279. Morehead State was fourth with 9,068, and Wichita State-A was fifth with 8,956.

JR Raymond of McKendree-Reign won the individual competition with a nine-game total of 2,046, which was good for a 227.33 average.
