The Notre Dame-Ohio men and Wright State women rolled to victories at the American Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference (AHIBC) I in Columbus, Ohio, last weekend.
AHIBC I featured five traditional team games and 12 Baker games, with total pinfall determining the champion in each division. A total of 27 men's varsity teams and 20 women's varsity teams competed at Palace Lanes.
The Notre Dame-Ohio men averaged nearly 200 as a team on their way to the win, finishing with a 7,358 total, a 198.8 overall average. Wright State finished in second place with 7,129, and Toledo took third place with 7,097.
Marian's Patrick Huebschman saved his best performance for last, firing a 299 game in Game 5 to catapult to the top of the individual standings with a 1,130 five-game total, a 226 average. Wright State's Jacob Spangenberg took second with 1,116, and Robert Morris-Pennsylvania's Eric Metz and Purdue's Aaron Althoff tied for third with 1,061. Notre Dame-Ohio's Meeco Walker rounded out the top five with 1,051.
The Wright State women posted the only traditional-game score that surpassed the 1,000 mark, using the momentum of 1,020 effort in Game 4 to take the lead, and the Raiders never looked backed as they claimed the title with a 6,830 total. Notre Dame-Ohio (6,736) and Indiana Tech (6,630) finished second and third, respectively.
Notre Dame-Ohio's Courtney Thompson topped the women's individual standings with a 1,064 total, a 212.8 average. Wright State teammates Leslie Campbell (1,043) and Tori Pappas (1,013) also averaged more than 200 for the five-game block, and Marian's Aubree Trexler (975) and Lawrence Tech's Haley Hysell (959) earned the fourth and fifth spots on the all-tournament team.

- At the AHIBC II, the Notre Dame-Ohio men and Wright State women finished off the weekend sweep.
- At the FDU New Jersey Jamboree, the Long Island-Brooklyn women defeated Sacred Heart in the championship round, 4-2, to earn the win.
- At the Stevens Tech Invitational, the William Paterson men and Molloy women finished at the top of the standings.
- At the Hammer Lion's Classic, the McKendree men and Central Missouri women were victorious in bracket competition.
- At the Five Seasons Classic, the St. Ambrose women and Grand View men made their way through the match-play bracket to collect wins.
- At the Bulldog Classic, the Pikeville men and women recorded a sweep.
