Lindewood sweeps Bearcat Open
CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Lindenwood men and women both rolled to victories at the Hoinke Bearcat Open to kickoff the back half of the USBC Collegiate season.
The Lindenwood men totaled 9,788 en route to the victory, topping second-place Morehead State, which had 9,497. Saginaw Valley State finished third with 9,410.
Calumet's Toby Kraus earned top individual honors with a nine-game total of 2,053. Saginaw Valley State's Aaron Lorincz was second with 1,962, while Lindewood's Dan Lemiecz was third with 1,958.
On the women's side, Lindewood rolled to an easy victory of nearly 500 pins. The Lions finished with 9,030, while Urbana took second with 8,536. Wright State rounded out the top three with 8,517.
Lindenwood's Amanda Greene led the women's individual standings with a nine-game total of 1,915. Ohio State's Blair Blumenscheid was second with 1,863, while Wright State's Melissa Klodnick was third with 1,711.
