Men's competition
The University of North Texas broke 1,200 five times - 1,289, 1,264, 1,242, 1,237 and 1,202 - during team play and broke 1,000 three times - 1,060, 1,053, 1,010 - during Baker en route to 11,388 total pins and first place atop a field of 44 very strong teams at this Tier-1 tournament.
Wichita State was second at 10,953, which included a tournament-high 1,350 game during team play. CSU-Fresno State-Red carded a 1,345 of its own on its way to third place (10,753). Arizona State-A (10,477) and Florida State (10,476) rounded out the top five.
Sean Lavery-Spahr completed the North Texas sweep by capturing first place in the individual competition with a six-game total of 1,315, which was good for a 219.20 average. He was the only bowler in the field to break 1,300.
Mike Krupp of Houston finished second with 1,289 (214.80). Derek Ray of North Texas was third with 1,279 (213.20), and Blake Badillo of Southern Illinois-Edwardsville was fourth with 1,278 (213.00). Greg Geering of CSU-Fresno State-Red grabbed the final place in the top five; he shot 1,255 (209.20).

Pikeville-B (10,389), CSU-Fresno State (9,864) and West Texas A&M (9,842) also cracked the top five.
Jennifer Wright, Kim Yioulos and Nicole Burke, all of Pikeville-A, grabbed the top three spots in the individual competition. Wright won the battle with a six-game total of 1,318, leaving Yioulos (1,272) and Burke (1,242) to settle for second and third, respectively. Ashley Rubin of South Dakota State was fourth with 1,234. Corinne Kelley of Florida State was fifth at 1,231.
