Board elections highlight 2011 USBC annual meeting

Member delegates elected four members to the Board of Directors and voted on three legislative proposals during the 2011 United States Bowling Congress Annual Meeting on Friday at the Gaylord Texan Convention Center.

Karl Kielich of El Paso, Texas, has been appointed to the USBC Board of Directors. Kielich will fill the final two years of the board position previously held by Carolyn Dorin-Ballard.Kielich, 37, currently is president of the El Paso USBC.

The International Bowling Campus (IBC) Youth Development team will facilitate dozens of coaching seminars across the nation later this year designed to teach parents and volunteers basic bowling coaching skills. The seminars are part of a YES Fund initiative to develop a new mainstream competition model for youth bowling.
