Clara Morton served as a director of the Women's International Bowling Congress for 19 years before retiring in 1995. Morton also served as president of the National Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame. She was a director of the American Junior Bowling Congress (later the Young American Bowling Alliance). On the local and state levels, Morton served as president, second vice president, third vice president and director of the Tennessee Women's Bowling Association; president and secretary of the Knoxville WBA; and president and director of the Knoxville Junior Bowling Association. In 1990, Morton was the first woman awarded induction into the Knoxville Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame. She also was inducted into the Tennessee WBA Hall of Fame.
